Mobile networking refers to Technology that can Support Voice And Data Network Connectivity Using Wireless, Via a Radio Transmission Solution . The Most Familiar Application of Mobile Networking is The Mobile Phone. In the past, Wireless Communications Predominantly Used Circuit Switching to Carry Voice Over a Network. However, More Recently Both Voice and Data are being Transmitted Over Both Circuit-switched and Packets switched Networks.

Radio phone is a Communications System for Transmission of Speech over Radio . Radio telephone systems are not Necessarily Interconnected with The the Public "land line" Telephone network. "Radiotelephony" means Transmission of Sound (audio) by Radio, in Contrast to Radio Telegraph ( Transmission of Telegraph Signals ) or Video Transmission. The First Generation of Wireless Telecommunication Technology is Known As 1G was Introduced in 1920. The Main Difference Between then Existing Systems and 1G was Invent of Cellular Technology And Hence It is Also Known as First Generation of Analog Cellular Telephone. In 1G or First Generation of Wireless Telecommunication Technology the Network Contains Many Cells (Land Area Was Divided Into Small Sectors, Each Sector is Known as Cell, a Cell is Covered by a Radio Network with One Transceiver ) and so Same Frequency can Be Reused Many Times Which Results in Great Spectrum Usage and thus Increased the System Capacity i.e. Large Number of Users Could be Accommodated Easily.
Use of cellular system in 1G or First generation of wireless telecommunication technology resulted in great spectrum usage. The First generation of wireless telecommunication technology used analog transmission techniques which were basically used for transmitting voice signals. All of the standards in 1G use frequency modulation techniques for voice signals and all the handover decisions were taken at the Base Stations (BS). The spectrum within cell was divided into number of channels and every call is allotted a dedicated pair of channels. Data transmission between the wire part of connection and PSTN (Packet Switched Telephone Network) was done using packet-switched network.

Second generation (2g) telephone technology is based on GSM or in other words global system for mobile communication. Second generation was launched in Finland in the year 1991. 2G network allows for much greater penetration intensity. 2G technologies enabled the various mobile phone networks to provide the services such as text messages, picture messages and MMS (multi media messages). 2G technology is more efficient. 2G technology holds sufficient security for both the sender and the receiver. All text messages are digitally encrypted. This digital encryption allows for the transfer of data in such a way that only the intended receiver can receive and read it.

Digital signals require consume less battery power, so it helps mobile batteries to last long. Digital coding improves the voice clarity and reduces noise in the line. Digital signals are considered environment friendly. The use of digital data service assists mobile network operators to introduce short message service over the cellular phones. Digital encryption has provided secrecy and safety to the data and voice calls. The use of 2G technology requires strong digital signals to help mobile phones work. If there is no network coverage in any specific area, digital signals would be weak.
4. 3G ( W-CDMA ) -
3G mobile technology is an edge over telephone and internet. Different 2G technologies are now gather and utilized at one place to give the mobile technology a new dimension and these called 3G mobile technologies. Combination of all the quality features of different 2G versions brings excellent one best device with high data transfer rate, maximum width of the frequency band, WiFi facility, and first-rate roaming. 3G mobile Technology is the combination of earthly and heavenly features.

4G Mobile Technology is in progress and still not set standards are defined. Many changes rather improvements are expected in the coming 4G mobile technology. 4G will make sure that the information should be passed along with authentication. An enhanced experience will be provided by the 4G network for audio / visual and other multimedia services. Speculations are that 4G will come up with ultimate speed of 100 megabits per second. It is also specifies on behalf of ITU that will facilitate interactive roaming everywhere.

Talking about the standard of 4G technology, still not defined as set standard, two technologies are supposed to be the based features of 4G.
Parallel to WiMAX, LTE (Long Term Evolution) is introduced by Verizon. LTE is considered to be promising high data transfer speed. LTE is supposed to provide internet facility using both systems. It has the ability of transition from one mode to another. LTE is developed on radio waves technology. This not only increases the speed but also the amount of data allowed through the same bandwidth and results into lower cost.
