[Discussion] Bad news for Xiaomi Mi A1

Hey Guys,

Xiaomi Mi A1 will not receive any further updates. No security updates no OS updates. Nothing will be provided to this devices. Next month Android Q will be going to be provided for latest phones like Mi A2, Mi A2 lite, Mi Max series etc. All you know that Google Pixel devices, Essential phones, already got Android Q beta. Next month all the latest Androidone mobiles will get the beta update. That's why every latest devices are receiving March update on time so that they can test the Beta of Android Q.

As a puppet device or a guinea-pig device you can install custom roms available because Mi A1 is that particular devices which the developers take into account for testing and final releasing of any OS update. But unfortunately they are not going to provide any types of updates.

It's time to say goodbye for the first Androidone device Xiaomi Mi A1, created by Xiaomi powered by Google.

Thanks & Regards

It is clearly stated their that we will get security updates for 2yrs as stated by Google as well. We already got 2 major iterations, so we are never going to get android Q. Some European users have already got February update. But people faced wifi issues, dual sim issues etc. So update was suspended. Their is another thread regarding the security updates:

Xiaomi has promised to provide updates for 2 years after 1st security updates so accordingly Xiaomi has to provide updates till December 2019 if it skips Q updates. We're definitely going to get security updates till December 2019.
I don't care about all these rumours in community
