The stable version of MIUI 11 started rolling out in mid-October. While Xiaomi is preparing this update for more devices, it is also adding some new features. Earlier, there were reports that Xiaomi is preparing Focus mode, Vientiane screen custom image & Class schedule features for MIUI 11. However, these new features are still in the internal testing stage. Now, according to the latest report from MIUI official Weibo handle, MIUI 11 added a new drawer mode to the system desktop this week.

Users need to go to the app store to update the system desktop first, and then choose to use classic mode or drawer mode. You can find the drawer mode in Settings > Desktop > Desktop mode. This feature has been added in the previous beta version. Do you think the drawer mode will make any difference to the operability?

Earlier today, MIUI 11 started rolling out to 15 more models from the Xiaomi and Redmi brands. Interestingly, this second batch contains a few mid-range and entry-level devices. Note that this schedule is rolling out in China. Nevertheless, a global release shouldn’t be far away.
