![]() About two weeks ago, Xiaomi announced the official global MIUI 11 update roadmap that tipped the first batch of devices to receive the update anywhere between October 22 and October 31. Xiaomi did manage to begin the global rollout ahead of schedule, but there was an uproar when the Poco F1 MIUI 11 update didn’t arrive as promised, that is, beginning October 22. The company had started the beta program a few days before, with many hoping that this timing was meant to bring the stable version as scheduled. But shock rang through when the company revealed through its forums that the October 22-31 window was meant for beta testing the software ahead of official rollout, promising to deliver the stable version “a couple or so weeks” thereafter. Of course, the timing of the official rollout depended on how good or bad the beta testing goes. And as it turns out, things went as desired. As a result, the stable Poco F1 MIUI 11 update is now available to download, both over the air and for those who want to do things manually. The update is arriving as version 11.0.5.0.PEJMIXM and weighs in at 1.8GB, so be sure to connect to a stable Wi-Fi network. While it tags along some Android 10-related features in typical Xiaomi fashion, you still get to deal with Android 9 Pie as the base OS. Sure, the Poco F1 is expected to be upgraded to Android 10 at some point, but for now, the only other upgrade you get apart from the MIUI 11-inspired changes is the latest October security patch. Below is a summary of the changelog: Comprehensive design optimized for full screen display devices As promised, we also have the link to download the Poco F1 MIUI 11 update manually and install it without having to wait for the OTA to arrive. But of course, be sure that you know your way around flashing MIUI ROMs.
