Dear, Mi Fans!
In this thread I've described about (SMSC) Short Message Service Center. So first of all, let's know what is SMSC?
A Short Message Service Center (SMSC) is a network element in the mobile telephone network. Its purpose is to store, forward, convert and deliver Short Message Service (SMS) messages.
Some users posted queries on Mi Community and they mentioned that they are not able to receive or send messages! Why does it happen?
It can be because, by chance, a user may have deleted/ edited SMSC number by mistake which eventually don't allow them to receive/ send messages.
There are two methods to solve this issue
First method: You should call your network provider customer care and ask for the SMSC number and replace/ edit SMSC number. Here are the steps to be followed to replace/ edit SMSC number
Second method: Reset your device. Follow the steps below to Reset your device (Please take backup before you do so!)
Note: You will lose data when you reset your device. Please take backup before you perform a reset.
