Surprisingly enough, given Xiaomi’s long presence in the mobile industry and their market filling strategy with handsets launching almost every week, the Chinese tech giant’s first ever wireless charging supported phone was actually the fairly recent Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S.
When Xiaomi launched the Mi MIX 2S back in April, the stunning tri-bezel-less smartphone was accompanied by a wireless charger which could be used to charge the phone using the Qi standard.
Xiaomi’s wireless charger didn’t – and still doesn’t – do too well compared to other devices though, with a maximum charging power of 7.5W, when the standard has become 10W, with peaks of 15W, such as the ones for the Samsung Galaxy S9 lineup.

Xiaomi’s wireless charger is rumored to launch along with the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 flagship later this year, which would make sense as the new phone will probably support a faster wireless charging tech as well.
