Hello MI Fans,
After a short break, Mi India has released the 2017 first Mi series budget segment smartphone. Yes, I'm talking about the MI MAX 2 (Bigger DIsplay, Bigger Battery). The xiaomi fan's from all over the India was very excited in that moment. Mi Max 2 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with latest Android 7 (nougat based) Miui.  Last year, Xiaomi introduced the Mi Max smartphone with a big 6.44-inch display. It did manage to turn heads last year and now this year xiaomi has launched its successor Xiaomi Mi Max 2. today we will discuss what different between MI MAX 1 and MI MAX 2. let's find out

Design and Looks
Talking about the design, The MI MAX 2 become smoother, curvier on the sides and edges and now compare to MI MAX 1. There are no changes in display and MI MAX comes with 6.44-inch Full HD display which was the exact display on MI MAX 1. The full metal unibody metal structure of the Mi Max 2 has been given rounded edges and they are repositioned antenna lines.  The Mi Max 2 now features a U-shaped antenna design which helps keep the rear panel looks nice and clean. The fingerprint sensor, the camera, and flash retain their old positions at the rear of the device like the MI MAX 1.

Hardware And Software
In both hardware and software, MI MAX 2 has upgraded from MI MAX 1. Talking about the hardware MI MAX 2 has to build with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with the latest 14nm FinFET technology paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. according to MI MAX 1, the device came with the 2 variant. the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage known as MI MAX and The the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage known as MI MAX Prime. The Snapdragon 625 is a newer chip and uses the brand-new 14nm FinFET process. Strictly speaking, in terms of pure performance, the 650 is a much better CPU than the 625 owing to its powerful duo of ARM-Cortex A72 cores. Older process (28nm) which means it takes longer time charge and longer for the physical electrons to take a signal across for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor. The Mi Max 2 comes with the latest version on Android Nougat based on MIUI 8. And it also has inbuilt split screen feature for better multitasking experience and xiaomi improved the one-handed including the one-hand shortcut menu. This makes the user more comfortable to use MI MAX 2 with one hand. There's also an IR blaster that can be used in tandem with the Mi Home app to control smart home appliances. The Another notable change is the addition of dual stereo speakers which were no available MI MAX 1. The dual stereo speakers provide more sound in both speakers and its make watching the movie and playing the game is turn into a different level.

Another noticeable improvement made in the Mi Max 2 is the battery capacity. The Mi Max 2 is backed by a massive 5,300mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 2 days of battery life and nearly regular usage and 11 hours of screen on time on with the supports of Quick Charge 3.0 and Parallel charging.  Xiaomi claims that charge from 0% to 68% only took one hour. The device comes with USB type-c ports. The Parallel Charging which means that 'you can continue to use the device even while charging'.This is more needed and helpful feature for advanced users like me.  Compare to MI MAX 1 it has only 4850 mAh battery and it does not have the Parallel charging feature which was we really missing in both MI MAX 1 and MI MAX Prime.

And the last and most important thing is the camera. The camera is another segment where the Mi Max 2 differs from the predecessor. The 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED (dual-tone) flash uses a Sony IMX 386 sensor thanks to the use of larger 1.25um pixels with 56% increased light intake by each pixel, which means it helps you to take a photo more brighter photos than comparing to MI MAX 1. And comes with support for PDAF and HDR this sensor is identical to the one used in Xiaomi’s flagship Mi6. The Mi Max 2 will be capable of recording 4K videos as well. On the front, the Mi Max 2 comes with a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Mi Max had a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and HDR and 5-megapixel front facing camera. However, the output of the MI MAX 2 camera is just average and because of the missing of Sony IMX 386 sensor and larger 1.25um pixels.

That's all for today, we were discussed that only changes between the MI MAX 1 and the MI MAX 2.
