On Android, The Most Used thing after HomeScreen is the Notification Bar or Notication Panel.
You can see on the top of Homescreen of Our MIUI v8, there is an transparent Notification Bar which opens the Notification Panel when Slide down with a finger.
The Slide down animation of Notification Bar is awesome, it is a mixture of Marshmallow animation & MIUI Beauty.
You will see a very Beautiful Notification Panel with a Search Bar on top & below is the weather app with date and time, themed by current weather status. If weather changes, the theme of Notification bar will automatically get changed.
When you click on the Search bar, You will open a search app through which you can search almost anything from offline contents to online. Though online contents are mainly searched in chinese, its pretty good for offline content uses and also very fast,.
See the results when I searched online there for "Shahrukh Khan".

On the other end of Search bar, there is a QR Code scanner button. CLicking on it will take you to scan QR codes and also many feature.
Its the QR Code Scanner, and it has Several feature to scan many things which are important. Though it is optimized for chinese mainly, we can also use it for many purposes.
With Shopping Scanner, Click photo of any product it will directly lead you to the search results similar to that product to buy

Just put the sentence in the box and You can also translates live text on Screen currently some languages aer supported like English - Chinese, etc.. Maths solutions are also supported directly via scanner and other things too.. like business cards, document scanning.
There is a drop down menu in Wifi & Bluetooth, Just tap the arrow down the toggle of wifi or bluetooth and you can manage your networks directly
There are some good settings for Notification bar, Just head to Settings and tap on Notification & Status bar
You will see these settings
Notification & toggles layout have 2 different layouts for your notification style, first is Combined (Marshmallow style) second is Separate (MIUI 5,6,7) style..
What you saw earlier was combined style, Now here is screenshot of Separate style of Notification Bar
The Notifications will be on left page
and the toggles will be on right page
Now on the Notification settings, click on App notification and then you can access notification for each and every app and manage all of it..
You can also click on Toggle Positions on Notification Settings page to manage the position of toggles..

The Battery indicator has three different types of indicator, 1. Graphical 2. Percentage 3. Top Bar, All are beautiful, I recommend No. 2 or 3
Now there are also two options named as Collapse after touch which work is to close the notification bar whenever you touch any toggle.
and second is "Show on LockScreen" Which enables or disable the Notification panel to be dragged down on Lockscreen.
You can also see this Data usage bar in Notification Panel which is very useful feature to get daily usage data on hand..
