Hello Mi Fans,
There's a ton of tech out there for tracking human health, but what about your family pooch? Dogs hold a special place in our families - don't they, too, deserve a bit of smart tech to help keep them healthy and safe? Everyone knows that dogs are the greatest, but that might be because we don't speak the same language. Maybe if we understood our canine friends' political beliefs and found out what they really thought of us, we'd feel differently. But for now, that language barrier definitely hurts when our pets get sick, since dogs can't properly tell us when they're feeling symptoms of something. Most pets demand your care, and deliver cuteness in return. But owning a dog can genuinely transform your life for the better. Your canine friend is an unburstable bubble of joy who encourages you to exercise every day and explore new places. The health benefits for the owner are clear; but is your dog feeling good? The Waggit wearable activity monitor helps you track the wellbeing of your furry friend. The device can pick up the early signs of illness, and even locate your runaway pupper.

Enter the Waggit, a smart dog collar designed for 21st Century living. This collar is jam-packed with smart features to help track the health and well being of your pet. First off, it's a ruggedly designed to withstand whatever your dog gets up to (or in to). The band is made of standard nylon and the tech is housed in a case made of bendable rubber that's flexible, waterproof, and comfortable for your dog. Connect the collar to your phone via the Waggit app (available for both iOS and Android) and you'll be able to monitor your pup's vitals and receive alerts if there are any changes that may require a vet visit. It'll also track your dog's activity levels and compare them to similar dogs on the Waggit leaderboard — just like Mi Fit app does for humans! It also tracks your dog's average calories burned so you can adjust their food accordingly.

Dogs are remarkably resilient animals. Even when they are suffering chronic pain, the signs are not always obvious. Your four-legged dynamo can limp on for years without crying for help. None of us wants that to happen. Long before conditions reach this stage, Waggit can see the signs. This smart collar tracks your dog throughout each day and learns their behavior. If something changes for the worse, the companion app can alert you to the problem. In addition, this impressive wearable device has many other tricks - from nutritional stats to sleep tracking. To understand whether your dog is feeling good or under the weather, this smart collar tracks their every move. But don’t mistake this device for a doggy Fitbit. Waggit is capable of much more than counting steps.

“The Waggit collar is the smartest collar your dog will ever wear. Fully equipped with the latest health, activity, and location tracking technology, Waggit makes proactively managing your dog’s health and wellbeing as easy as loving him!” — Waggit
Through the companion app, Waggit lets you see exactly how much energy your pooch has burned. The smart collar also tracks your dog’s body temperature and resting heart rate, their respiration rate, and which body positions they adopt. It can even tell you whether Fido had a good night’s sleep. After a few days, Waggit starts to see the recurring patterns in this data. Should your dog start to breathe more heavily, for instance, the app will send you a notification. It might be nothing - it could just as easily be something your vet needs to see. The only real weakness is that the collar needs charging every seven days. Considering the functionality of the device, this is pretty good battery life — it’s just an inconvenience. That said, you will need a backup collar while it tops up.

Check out Waggit:
But Waggit doesn’t just stop at diagnosis. In fact, this system promotes good animal and human habits. For instance, you can compare your pooch with other similar doggos. Want to top the leaderboard? You need to get your walking boots on. Thanks to your competitive side, both you and your dog are getting fitter. The Waggit app can also help you track down your dog using GPS. This feature does drain the battery, but who cares when you can find your missing pet. But perhaps the best Waggit feature is the tracking tech included for safety assurance. Each collar includes built-in GPS that will let you track your dog via the app no matter where they are in the U.S. This is accomplished with a cellular antenna which uses the AT&T network. This service charges a month and gives you the peace of mind that your dog will be quickly found if they ever get lost.

The collar learns your pup’s baseline and then tracks things like changes in vitals, body position (if your dog suddenly starts sleeping on its right side versus its left side) and sleep quality. Changes in those areas could signal pain, injury or sickness. Waggit also tracks your pup’s temperature. The company has been working with veterinarians, cardiologists and nutritionists to ensure the accuracy of its collar, Sierota said. The product, which has been in beta since June of this year, is on the necks of 50 dogs right now. Waggit is now accepting public orders, and the first units will arrive in November.

Waggit has already well surpassed its goal, but there's still a couple weeks remaining to back the project and get in on early bird savings off the retail price. The Waggit team has spent two years testing and optimizing the collar with the help of 100s of dogs of all sizes and breeds, and the collar is available in three sizes. Waggit plans to start the orders soon. A must need gadget for man's best friend! Don't you guys think so? Do REPLY down your opinions on this useful gadget.
