Meanwhile Global Developer ROM - 6.11.24 just got released here, if you haven't updated yet update it. This update came with two new features out of which one was requested by many MIUI users quite a number of times for better accessibility of notifications from lockscreen itself & with one more way to use fingerprint input.
We will talk about them both and explain them in details so new users can understand them & use these features quite efficiently.
1. Swipe to Remove Lock screen notifications
This will be a default setting from now on. What it will do is, when your phone is locked and your app issues a notification it does show on lockscreen but now you have a control to dismiss/mark-as-read it by swiping it in right direction.Cool, isn't it!
Now all you have to do is press your power button & take desired action, done!
It is shown in the below animation:
My app doesn't issue lockscreen notification somehow, how do I set my application to issue a lockscreen notification?
Everytime I receive lock screen notification, I want it to wake my screen along with sound so I can take desired action (or I want to disable that behaviour, save battery & protect my privacy)?
This waymy lock button will get affected can I wake my phone with different button?
Yes,Indeed you can.
2. Launcher Settings
Now you can manage how your homescreen layout for diffrent actions you perfrom. The setting is added in Settings – Launcher settings.
It will give you three options.
1. Default Launcher
With this you can change your default launcher from here too along with "installed apps – defaults".
2. Auto Fill Empty Cells
Enabling this option, when you will remove one application then the creation of empty cell will be filled by the adjacent app icon automatically and so you don't have to perform the tiresome manage action on all the icons if you remove some app right from the start of page.
The same has been shown in the animation below for your better understanding:
Tip: If you still have some empty cells, pinch in on the homescreen & shake the phone, it will be adjusted automatically.
3. Lock Screen Cells
Enabling this option will,
So layout cells are locked in this sense, same is shown in below animation:
However, within the folder action of app icon move/uninstall is permitted butnot the folder itself considering it as a separate cell.
3. Fingerprint Input as Privacy Protection Password (only in supported devices)
Starting from this version, you can use your fingerprint input as a single password to access all privacy protection elements & contents under.Go to "settings - Lockscreen & fingerprint - Privacy Protection Password - Settings" & enable "unlock with fingerprint" option.
