But palm ID is a new concept in technology. It is not a popular technology like fingerprint or face recognition. So most of you are unaware of it and it's feature. What is Palm ID?

As veins are under the skin rather than on the surface, the Palm ID is considerably more safest to fraud than fingerprint recognition and face recognition. Palm id is more accurate and fraud-proof compared to other biometric technologies. It is also hygienic, quick and extremely easy to use. Users are very positive about palm ID.
PalmSecure is a trending authentication system working on biometric technology It authenticates users on based on their vein pattern recognition rather than iris scanners or fingerprint readers. As veins are internal and have a wealth of differentiating features, attempts to forge an identity are extremely difficult, thereby enabling a high level of security.
Working of PalmSecure
A palm secure device works the following manner. firstly it captures a person's vein pattern image while radiating it with near-infrared rays. The deoxidized hemoglobin in the palm vein absorbs these rays, thereby reducing the reflection rate and causing the veins to appear as a black pattern. This vein pattern is then verified against a pre-registered pattern to authenticate the identity of a person.

Components of Palm ID
1.Registration unit: It is used to record the vein pattern of the user's palm.The user has to do this for one time. It is not stored in the form of an image. The captured pattern encoded and stores in the form of registered template.
2.Palm scanner: The palm scanner allows the users access to rooms or data for which they have been granted authorization. Palm scanner records the vein pattern of the palm presented and sends this to the controller as a template for giving the access.
3.Controller: The controller includes the database in which authorized individuals and their unique biometric characteristics are stored. It checks the vein pattern of each palm scanned with the encrypted data in the database in real time.
