Hey Mi Fans!! I hope you are enjoying here in our very own and brand new Mi Community.
Let's start our new Tech Classroom Lesson which is the whole new and exciting tech, The Augmented Reality.

You must all be aware of the new sensational game which has made everyone addictive with it's cool amd awesome gameplay. Most of you would have already completed the game itself (You a Player :P). Yes, the whole new game which has taken the whole world by storm, Pókémon Gô! This game is fully based on the Augmented Reality Tech. Now let's start the Lesson (The Bell Rings :D).

What is Augmented Reality?
Augmented Reality (AR) is a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented by computer generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data. It is related to a more general concept called mediated reality, in which a view of reality is modified (possibly even diminished rather than augmented) by a computer. As a result, the technology functions by enhancing one's current perception of reality. By contrast, virtual reality replaces the real world with a simulated one. Augmentation is conventionally in real-time and in semantic context with environmental elements, such as sports scores on TV during a match. With the help of advanced AR technology the information of the surrounding real world of the user becomes interactive and digitally manipulable.

Hardware:- Hardware components for augmented reality are: processor, display, sensors and input devices. Modern mobile computing devices like smartphones and tablet computers contain these elements which often include a camera and MEMS sensors such as accelerometer, GPS, and solid state compass, making them suitable AR platforms.

Display:- Various technologies are used in Augmented Reality rendering including optical projection systems, monitors, hand held devices, and display systems worn on the human body.

How Augmented Reality Works?
It is similar in that the user views a series of images via a pair of 3D Glasses or a Head Mounted Display (HMD). Augmented Reality Glasses are worn in the same way as virtual reality glasses in that they enable the wearer to interact with these images as part of the overall experience.

Head Mounted Display
It is a display device paired to the forehead such as a harness or helmet. HMDs place both the pictures of physical amd the virtual objects over the user's field of view. Modern HMDs often employs sensors for six degrees of freedom monitoring that allow the system to align the virtual information to the physical world and adjust accordingly with the users touch movements.

Now, i think you all would be much aware about this cool technology which we talked about today! Now go out and catch your favourite Pokemons :P :D but be safe and careful. It's time to say goodbye, but stay tuned to the device team as there's a lot more tech stuff which we will look into in the future. Peace Out.
