Redmi Note 3: The Highest Shipped Phone in Indian Online Market
Redmi Note 3 was launched on 3/3 and kept buzzing the market with its phenomenal features at an attractive price. 6 lakh units of phone were sold in just 2 months, as Xiaomi confirms. The latest news on this phone is that Xiaomi shipped 8,88,000 units, as reported by June edition of the IDC India Monthly Smartphone Tracker, in the Second quarter of 2016. Remarkably, This is the highest number of shipments for a smartphone, in any given quarter, ever. Xiaomi also confirmed that they sold 17. 5 lakh units of Redmi Note 3 in just five months. The shipping volume is more than double of the second most shipped smartphone, on an online Platform. This means that one in every nine smartphones sold online in the second quarter of 2016, was a Redmi Note 3. The phone is still continuing its dominance and is available on Mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm. The phone is available in two variants one with 3+32GB and other one being the 2+16GB variant
Xiaomi was founded on the principle of making available high quality devices at affordable prices. Xiaomi is currently a popular brand in India with the company achieving 72% year-on-year growth in sales volume since 2014. The Redmi Note 3 is a part of the “Make in India” initiative, and are locally manufactured, which has further helped Xiaomi meet the high demand in India. The New Xiaomi phone, Redmi 3S prime sold over 90,000 units within 8 minutes on Flipkart, which is among the most successful open sales on Flipkart.
