Hello Dear All

How are you doing... it's been a great time that i was off from community, and now I'm back with a bang to share some beautiful moments from my journey to Vadodara and Ahmedabad.

This thread contains a blend of history and nature which show the beauty of these cities... I'm really excited about it and i hope so are you guys.! So here we go....

1. Laxmi Vilas Palace, Vadodara.

Laxmi Vilas Palace is one of the most majestic structures in India and was the private residence of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III. Known to be the largest private dwelling of the size equivalent to four times of the Buckingham Palace, this magnificent palace is a must visit when in Vadodara. Sprawling across an area of about 700 acres, it is still home to the royal family of Vadodara, the Gaekwads. The lush gardens of the palace add to the beauty of the entire experience of being here. This Palace is a hybrid of the Hindu, Gothic and Mughal architectural forms with the presence of domes, minrates and arches.

2. Sayaji Gardens, Vadodara.

It is the largest garden in the western region of India with a sprawling 45 hectares of land. This was built in the year 1879 on the river Vishwamitri and it comprises of a large spectrum of flora, with more than 99 species of trees to its name. That's not all, this park also houses two museums, a planetarium, a zoo, a toy train for children and a flower clock. So many utilities under one roof, make this attraction the most sought after in the state of Gujarat. Constructed by the Gaekwads in 1894, the Vadodara Museum and Picture Gallery is host to umpteen numbers of relics relating to a wide range of fields right from archeology to geology. The main attractions being the skeleton of the gigantic blue whale.

3. Sabarmati Ashram, Ahmedabad.

Once the residence of Mahatma Gandhi and his wife Kasturba, Sabarmati Ashram is undoubtedly the biggest tourist attraction situated in the suburb of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Located on the tranquil and serene stretch of Sabarmati River, it was also referred to as the 'Gandhi Ashram', 'Mahatma Gandhi Ashram' and most importantly, 'Satyagraha Ashram' as Gandhi began the famous 'Dandi March' from here.

4. Kankaria Lake, Ahmedabad.

The second largest lake of Ahmedabad, formerly known as Hauz-e-Qutub, Kankaria Lake was built in the 15th century and was later revamped in 2008. Located in the south-eastern part of the city, it is a complete package of entertainment for your family. Kankaria Lake is a place where entertainment, culture, knowledge and talent perfectly blend with each other. A pathway circumscribes the lake which has alluring activities and adventures for people of all age groups. rom balloon safari and zoo to toy trains and amusement park, Kankaria Lake has it all.

5. Adalaj Step Well, Ahmedabad.

Adalaj Stepwell is a magnificent structure built brilliantly to curb water crisis in and around Adalaj Village. The stepwell is located at a distance of 3 to 4 kilometres to the south-west of Gandhinagar, the capital city of Gujarat. The Adalaj Stepwell was built in 1498 and is one of the many step wells built in India to provide access to groundwater. The entire architecture is an excellent illustration of the intelligence of the engineers and architects India had even at that time.

6. RiverFront Flower Park, Ahmedabad.

The Flower Park at Sabarmati Riverfront is the first themed flower garden for the city of Ahmedabad. This garden has been envisioned as a permanent flower garden spread in Approx 45000 Sq mt where more than 330 native and exotic flower species. Throughout the year, the garden serves as a city level unique park where visitors can enjoy beautiful flowers of both seasonal and non seasonal varieties. It strengthens the green space network on the western park of the city.

Aren't they amazing... to add on i've got two more pics which were clicked at Vadodara Railway station which were not only eyecatching but aslo amazing in those night lights....

All the images are captured on REDMI NOTE 3, two marvelous years since its launch and it still remains a beauty.
