Pros
  • Tracks steps, distance, calorie and sleep
  • On demand heart rate readings
  • Very Affordable.
  • IP67 certified
  • Vibration enabled
  • Set alarm to wake up to
  • Long battery life
  • Concise app presentation
Cons
  • Can’t enabled continuous heart rate measurement
Read on for details and more pictures of the Mi Band 1S device and mobile app screen captures.
LOOK AND FEEL
The Mi Band 1S looks very similar to Mi band 1. The only difference is heart rate sensor.
The Mi Band 1S main sensor is removable which means you can use straps according to your choice. There are 3 LEDs on the face of the tracker that flashes white ( Can not change color after recent app update)

FUNCTIONSHeart rate measurement
The Mi Band 1S tracks steps, distance continuously but heart rate on demand, hence cannot be used to measure continuous heart rate during exercise but considering the price, it can ot be called a con.
As for the accuracy of the optical heart rate sensors, I’m sitting on the fence for this one. I read my resting heart rate while sitting down multiple times per minute over 3 minutes and the results were wildly inconsistent for now; enough to warrant concern. My resting heart rate could be 55 before jumping to 199 while seated and taking readings one after another.
24/7 activity tracking
The Mi Band 1S was able to automatically track whether the user is running or sleeping. It correctly tracked sleep for me and was able to identify my running sessions.
The mobile app display focuses on 3 aspect of health and fitness; steps, sleep and weight.
In terms of daily activity tracking, the data presentation is concise; your tracked stats is presented in a graphical form that allows some form of sharing using some social media platforms.

I am also going to post review of MI band 2 in very future.

Favorites-17 RateRate

I dont see much issue in heart rate tracking. Probably for accuracy in heart rate we must wear it in right hand and the sensor shud be close to our wrist. Also Mi Band 1s by default has white led so any update cant change its colour. It will flash white only.

Yep heart rate tracking is quite good, But I am saying you can not track it continuously by the default MIFit app
