Same problem since 17th Jan 2019. This is how I resolved mine (may be until the same get rectified by Mi).
1) Go-to Play Store and search Maps-Uninstall the update (through play-store).
2) Clear the cache and data via Setting-InstalledApp-Maps-Clear Data (Clear All Data and Clear Cache).
3) Go to play store Setting-Auto-update apps-set it to-Don't auto-update (Until the issue get resolved).
4) Restart the mobile; it work's fine.
