Several popular phones including Redmi Note 5 Pro, Mi A1, and Honor 9 Lite have L3 certificate and cannot stream HD content from Netflix, Amazon Videos, etc.

On the other hand, affordable phones from Motorola (Moto G5 Plus), Asus (Zenfone 3) and Samsung (Galaxy On7 Prime) have Widevine DRM L1 Certificate.

Our first introduction to WIDEVINE DRM  came about when we learned about its necessity to stream Netflix and Amazon Prime Video in HD quality.

Widevine L1 is Google's digital rights management system that is required if you are streaming from platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or any other OTT services. RN5 Pro has the potential to stream HD content from likes of Amazon prime and Netflix.

As xiaomi promised, the POCO F1 is finally getting an update with Widevine L1 certification in the latest Miui 10 9.2.25 beta. How many of you interested in Widevine L1 certificate for Redmi Note 5 it is free and a simple update will solve this problem

SD 636 is Capable in HD streaming but the Security certificate with level 3 is restricting HD streaming in Netflix and Prime.

because L1 level requires all important code to run in trusted code compiling area in a phone's os and to do that Xiaomi has to rewrite it's code which is a huge work. so Xiaomi also ignored it
