Today we are going to review one of the most stable custom ROM I have personally used. It is the Lineage OS ROM for Redmi Note 5 (Vince). It provides a smooth pure stock Android experience with a bit more customization.
So without further ado, let's get started...

ROM review :
The homepage is the same as all-stock Android-based ROMs and is very immersive with rounded icons and also with Google search bar at the top.
Notification and Quick settings bar:
It has a stylish stock Android 9 Pie quick settings with rounded icons and brightness bar. There is an option for enabling and disabling auto-brightness as well. It has also an edit button to edit the quick settings and a shortcut to settings.
Apps tray and Volume Bar:
The app tray is similar to the stock Android with a search bar on the top and rounded icons. The ROM has a Music player. Audio FX and a gallery app is pre-installed. The theme of the device can be selected between bright and dark. The volume bar is also dark in dark mode with immersive accents.
The settings menu comprises the usual important settings options. It has a search bar at the top for easy accessing. In dark mode, the settings menu is even better.
Comparing to Resurrection Remix ROM or Havoc OS ROM or other ROMs, the amount of customization is fairly less but not completely disabled as in Pixel experience ROM. Small customization on Gestures, the status bar can be done.
The ROM is running on Android Pie with a reasonably new Android security patch. The version, which I was using, was on Lineage OS version 16.0 with Android Security Patch level of 5th March 2019. Updates are also pretty regular for this ROM.
Since it is a pure Android ROM and has very less customization, the size it takes up is also fairly less. The system takes up about 5.8GB and nearly 25GB will be available to the user.
The battery performance is pretty decent with full-day battery life on heavy usage other than gaming. The ROM is smooth on games, but not so power efficient. It will last at least one day and a half for a normal user.
As most of the ROMs do have, this ROM also has the google tray where the latest news and information regarding your favourite subjects will be It is very much updated as well.
This is a new feature in the Pie update which uses the AI technology to measure the user's behaviour. It senses our usage and we can know more about smartphone usage and its kind by referring to this.
The ROM has Camera2API enabled by default and has the Google Camera as the default camera. The pics come out very good in this camera.
