|Hi Redmi 4 users!|
As most of you might already know, a new software update for Redmi 4 phone, MIUI 10.3.1.0 was released recently by the MIUI Developers. Hope that majority of you must have already updated your Redmi 4 phones to the latest version of MIUI.
This thread is being posted to discuss some major battery charging issues that are occurring in Redmi 4 due to bugs/glitches in this latest version of MIUI.
1. VERY SLOW CHARGING: In this case while using the default Xiaomi charger (5V, 2A) and charging cable, the phone's battery starts getting charged at a very slow rate. That is, it manages to get charged up by only 10% in 1 hour. It takes as long as 6 hours to fully charge the battery from between 10% and 20% to 100%. There is no problem in the charger or the charging cable since both of them are charging other phones normally, without any issues. This slow charging issue in Redmi 4 gets fixed temporarily by rebooting the phone, but it triggers again after a few days in the further charging sessions.
2. NO CHARGING AT ALL: In this case the battery doesn't start getting charged until the the phone is rebooted.
But the above described issues don't occur everytime when plugged in, but they occur every once in a while. Also, both these issues have been observed while using the properly functioning default Xiaomi charger (5V, 2A) and charging cable for Redmi 4.
Are you too facing these issues? Please cast your vote in the poll below and share your thoughts in the comments section. This thread is intended to draw the MIUI Developers' attention towards these serious issues so that they can get fixed as soon as possible, through a software update.
At last, thanks a lot for going through this long thread. Have a great day!
