Xiaomi is enjoying its 8th consecutive quarter as India’s top smartphone brand, banking on the immense popularity of its lower-priced Redmi and Redmi Note series. Devices like the Redmi 7A have been hailed for bringing even better specifications while still retaining Xiaomi’s aggressive pricing, while the slightly higher placed Redmi 7 provides another competitive in a crowded market segment. Now, a new Redmi device has been spotted on TENAA, which we speculate is likely to be the next device in the Redmi lineup, the Redmi 8.
This new Redmi smartphone comes with model number M1908C3IC. While there isn’t any concrete information that suggests this is the Redmi 8, the specifications we see indicate that this isn’t likely to be part of the Redmi Note lineup or, obviously, the Redmi K lineup. There is a possibility that this could be a new device lineup, though again, nothing strongly suggests the same.
