Xiaomi is developing a 66W fast charging system.
The 66W system is said to fully recharge the battery on a Mi 10 Pro in 35 minutes.
Xiaomi's 50W wireless charging system will come in later half of 2020.
Xiaomi conquered the headlines this year when it announced it's working on a 100W fast-charging system for its smartphones. While that 100W fast-charging system is yet to find a launch date, Xiaomi is developing more affordable variants of its fast-charging system, in both wired and wireless categories. The company is rumoured to be working on a 50W wireless charging system but that may not be ready in the first half of 2020. However, a 66W wired charging is happening soon.

According to GizmoChina, a recent post on Weibo suggests that Xiaomi is working on its 66W fast charging system and it might debut on its first flagship phone for 2020- the Mi 10 Pro. The tipster also says that the Mi 10 Pro with the fast charging system will be able to do a full recharge of its battery within 35 minutes. That's faster than any other fast charging technology that Xiaomi offers currently on any of its phones.

On paper, the 66W fast charging system doesn't manage to beat Realme's SuperVOOC fast-charging system. However, Realme used a 4000mAh battery on the X2 Pro and the 50W fast charging system could fill it up by 33 minutes. Xiaomi could be offering a bigger 5000mAh battery on its Mi 10 flagship and hence, it takes the faster 66W system to fill it within 35 minutes.

On the other hand, the tipster says that Xiaomi's 50W wireless charging system is still under development and it could take a while before it reaches the market, possibly by the latter half of 2020. Chances are that Xiaomi could bring support for its 50W wireless charging system on the Mi 10 Pro flagship or launch it later with another Mi Mix series phone in the latter half of 2020.

The Mi 10 Pro could be the phone from Xiaomi to feature the new Snapdragon 865 and going by the nature of the chipset, it will come with support for 5G networks. There have been no major leaks about the Mi 10 Pro but expect Xiaomi to offer a large AMOLED display with possibly a small notch or a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Xiaomi could also debut its under-display camera tech with the Mi 10 Pro.
