Hi, Mi Fans!
Incontrovertibly, often small changes impact big, beyond measure! This holds true more importantly when these changes are about habitual user experience.
While MIUI Messaging app is already exemplary, smart with all the features like Copy OTP, Notification Grouping & Mi Message, one more small but useful change was introduced this Friday. While one might argue about the importance of text messages in today’s world, but remember it still isn’t as obsolete as you would think it to be. If you haven’t yet updated then get the ROM links here or fire up your updater app.
Timed Grouping in Messaging
Messaging app from now on will breakdown and sort text/multimedia messages according to the time period and put them under various cards. It will sort messages under different cards titled by time like Today, Yesterday, and Earlier. Not only this is attentive keeping what’s most important at the top, it also saves time while you are busy checking other things. Here’s a comparison between old and new grouping scheme:
How do I enable it?
You are not required to enable or disable this as this will be default from now on, which is a good thing. This has been introduced in Developer ROM for now and will reflect in stable ROM soon.
That’s it for now folks! We would surely love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and feedback over this, so do drop a reply below in the box. If you have anything else to say or suggest then why not drop a thread in MIUI Feedback section today?
Is it applicable under different themes too?
Yes, it will be there with the different themes too.
