I have got many questions regarding why the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is visible? So let's talk about the reason of keeping Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner visible.Coming to the point, CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun explained why the fingerprint scanner is visible. He explained that Xiaomi decided to include a groove on the front glass, right above where the sensor is located to make the sensor easily assessible. While this reason is actually acceptable. It might take a while to get used to but if we can make use of phones that don’t have backlit capacitive buttons in the dark so this should not be difficult.The Ultrasonic Finger Print Scanner present in the Mi 5S was actually in development for years before the Xiaomi decided it was time to put it out for consumers. Users of Mi5S don’t have to worry about much about their hands being dirty or wet, as the phone can be unlocked in a split second once the recorded fingerprint is detected.
