Hi MI fans
MIUI is hands-down the most popular and flexible mobile operating systems around due to its power packed features. And the best thing about it is, it lets you customize the device as per your choice. So a seemingly simple phone can become a melting pot of technology.
Considering these we might not know some of the useful hidden tricks which I feel we shouldn't ignore them.
Developer mode, as the name suggests, is built in for the benefit of developers,as well as for tech geek. In MIUI these are intended principally for developers - people who need additional functions to test software and apps but you really don't have to become a developer to use some of these handy features which comes with positive consequences.
Enable Developer mode
To Enable the Developer mode is very easy and simple :
1. Tap on settings About phone
2. Now tap continously on MIUI version unless you released the text “Congratulations Now you are a developer".
Displaying Touch Point is one the today's recruitment as sometimes it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact place where you are touching on your phone's screen, especially when you are demonstrating something in a video. In MIUI you can easily cope up with it by enabling the display touch points. This will display a white dot on places where you have touched.
To enble the touch point follow these steps :
You can boost the gaming performace of your device by heading to Developer Options and enabling Force 4x MSAA. At the cost of some of your battery life, it tells Android to render games at as high a quality as it can, so it’s best used on top-end handsets with a lot of battery left. Turning on the Force GPU rendering option on may give you smoother, snappier performance in some games, but its effects can vary widely from app to app and from device to device, so use it with caution.
We know that bright screens are the recipe for eye fatigue, so this nifty trick will save your eyes from further damage. Additionally, it also helps in saving the precious battery juice. Once enabled, it wipes out the bright colors and replaces it with a monochromatic hue. This one is also lurking inside the Developer option.
Inside Developer options, scroll down to Drawing and find Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale. These are all set to 1x by default. These animations are the eye candy you see when apps open and close, menus drop down, and more. They help cover up lag as the system catches up, but you don’t really need slow settings on a fast device. You can set all of these to 0.5x for a more snappy interface experience.
Another hidden feature is the Wi-Fi sleep policy in the advanced Wi-Fi settings. In a normal situation, when the screen turns off the phone switches over to cellular data. And when this happens, the battery life also takes a hit (as Wi-Fi consumes less juice than cellular data). In such situations, the Wi-Fi sleep policy should be set to Never, so that the change-over never happens (even when the phone is idle). To utilize these feature check the steps :
The pattern lock on our smartphones does its job brilliantly as it stops any unauthorized access and keeps the phone’s data safe and secure. But what if a lost phone falls into the right hands, how would he know whom to call?
The owner info might is the exact thing that can help you out in such situations. It displays the name & contact number on the lock screen of your phone . Check the steps precisely:
