Xiaomi's smart home brand Mijia Home official microblogging released a news, that the first Xiaomi IoT Developer Conference will be held in Beijing on November 28 and in the posters Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun also said that "every day there are more than 80,000 new adding xiaomi device access IOT platform, we welcome more partners to join the world's largest intelligent hardware IOT platform."
According to the data released before by Xiaomi, as of the first half of 2017, the Xiaomi IOT platform already has more than 60 million in-network intelligent hardware devices and more than 6 million on-line devices at the same time, becoming the world's largest commercial IoT hardware platform. Overview of Xiaomi's official website, there are already more than 100 intelligent hardware products in the sale, Mi Bands, Mi air purifier, Mi water purifier, Mi sweeping robot, Electric Scooter and Ninebot balance car, Mi cooker rice, lamps and other smart home products are having great sales, basically xiaomi equipment can be seen over everywhere in life.
These devices are not all from Xiaomi production R & D, but mostly by Mijia ecological chain enterprise research and development, and xiaomi is more of a platform role. These devices can access Mi Home APP which is Xiaomi IOT platform, so as to not only achieve the effect of intelligent control but also save development costs for enterprises.
MIDC is the first developer conference held by Xiaomi, presumably not to follow the trend of Apple's WWDC, but to be the trend itself. It's time to call developers together and talk about how to unify smart hardware interfaces to make these devices easier to use and actually a good thing for users.
