Hello Mi Fans,

It is time for Thursday Fabulous MIUI tips, and we have reached our ninth edition of this thread! Hope you have enjoyed Mi Pop last Sunday, for those who have missed the Mi Pop event, you can view the full recap created by our admin, Michelle, here:

For those who are new to this thread, I am happy to introduce you to the Fabulous MIUI Tips that features the features on MIUI. Every week, I will be bringing to you features of MIUI that you may or may not know in a fun and interactive way. Hope that all, if not most Mi Fans will find them useful.

Today, I will be featuring some of the special camera features on your Mi phones.

Note: Some of these features are only available in the latest stable version of MIUI 8, and do not appear in older versions of MIUI. Please upgrade your MIUI Global ROM to the latest version if you are unable to view these features on your phone.

Using the Back Camera for Selfies
There are many apps available out there for taking selfies with the back camera. However, if you are too lazy to download any apps, or do not have the phone memory to store these apps - Mi phones have the solution for you.

Use the voice command to take selfies.

How to activate.

Select Modes > Audio. The voice command will be ready. As long as the microphone detect any sound, like "Cheese", "Smile", "SELFIE!!", the countdown will begin and you will be able to take a selfie with the high res camera on your phone!

Adjust Exposure in Photo and Video Mode
In cameras, you will see a bar for adjustment of exposure in different light settings for optimal shots to be taken. For phones, you will usually pray for the best lighting based on the autofocus made by the phones. Alternatively, there is a way to easily adjust the exposure, without leaving the camera screen.

How to do it:
Hold down on the object that you wish to focus

Drag your finger up to increase the exposure. Your image will be brighter and you may observe the amount of exposure that you’ve adjusted at the top of the camera screen.

Drag your finger down to reduce the exposure. Your image will be darker

Select Amazing Filters
In most phones, your camera functions offer 9 filters available for you to pick. In Mi phones, we take it another level by offering more filters for you to play with. These filters may be missed as you will have to uncover it by scrolling to the right-hand side when choosing the filter.

How to select filters:
Press the icon on the bottom left, scroll to the right and you will see many different selections of filters - Mirror, Fisheye, Mosaic, Squeeze... You name it, Mi has it.

Play with the amazing filters, only on Mi phones!

Hope you learn a few stuff! Next week, there will be a special edition on Fabulous MIUI Tips, so do remember to check this post on Thursday at 6pm!
Share with me some of the amazing photos you took using the filters in the comment below!
