Last week Mi launched the most awaited successor to India's No.1 Selling Smartphone Redmi Note 4, the Redmi Note 5 tries to the keep the features which made its predecessor a success while including some much need upgrades. Today, Lets, compare the India's New All Rounder Redmi Note 5 with Redmi Note 4 and see what has changed.
The Redmi Note 5 is equipped with 12 MP (f/2.2) rear camera which consists of a 5 piece lens setup accompanied by a dual tone-dual LED flash. It also features 1.25 micron pixel size, PDAF, and real-time filters and Redmi Note 4 has 13 MP CMOS camera (f/2.0) rear camera and 1.12 micron pixel size. In the front Redmi Note 4 sports a 5 MP camera whereas Redmi Note 5 has a 5 MP shooter with Led-Selfie light and Beautify 4.0. In the camera department Redmi Note 5 seems to be a clear winner with bigger pixels and better camera lens and a Selfie-LED to caputre Awesome photos even at night.

Redmi Note 4 was equipped with Snapdragon 625 octa-core 2.0 ghz and a 4100mah(typ) non removable Li-Polymer battery. Both Redmi Note 4 and Redmi Note 5 also feature a similar huge 4000mah(typ) Li-Polymer battery with 2 days battery life and also features Snapdragon 625 octa-core 1.8ghz processor.
Both devices feature a pretty similar battery and processor based on 14nm FinFET technology. Redmi Note 5 also comes with a 380V charger for the India market to withstand voltage surges.
Variants and Price
There are a lot of improvements and Upgrades in India's New All Rounder from its predecessor, but Redmi Note 5 is still the most affordable device in the market in terms of Price to Performance ratio.
Considering all the above factors like Built, Camera, Design, Battery, Display, Price etc., overall Redmi Note 5 clearly seems to be a worthy Successor of Redmi Note 4 and currently seems to be the best smartphone in the Sub 12k segment. All the awesome things that made Redmi Note 4 great are still there and everything else is upgraded.
