GLONASS is more accurate whereas GPS has wide Coverage but if both are used simultaneously accuracy and coverage can be used better. Even the Location can be pinpointed if both are used. The first Device to use both GLONASS and GPS was iPhone 4S.
What's There is Your Smartphone?
As the capabilities of Both were recognized. Almost all High-end Smartphone has them.Normally all devices use A-GPS with Support to A-GLONASS (not available widely) which uses Device Network Connection to determine Location. As GLONASS 's Service is being made public, more and more Smartphone manufacturers are using a cluster of GPS+GLONASS for better positioning, accuracy, and coverage. We can Expect That All Smartphones will use this Technology To determine location which will include the cluster of 24+31 Satellite System.
All Smartphones Launched After Xiaomi 2 have GLONASS Support
Google Maps Use This Technology by using the Data Connection To Connect To The Satellite System and Get Real Time Information.
